13th QTL-MAS Workshop

April 20-21, 2009

Wageningen, The Netherlands

The 13th QTL-MAS workshop was organised by Wageningen-UR in a joint effort of:

» Animal Breeding and Genomics Centre
» Biometris
» Expertise group Wageningen UR Plant Breeding

The focus of the meeting was on approaches to the genetic dissection of complex traits. This may hold for genome-wide association study in humans, multiple crosses and multiple environments in plants, and genomic selection in farm animals and plants. - Invited speakers

Similar to the previous QTL-MAS workshop (Uppsala 2008), a simulated dataset, relevant to both plant and animal breeders, was made available. A section on the workshop focussed on discussions about analyses of this dataset. The dataset is still available. - Common dataset

Proceedings of the workshop were published as BMC Proceedings Volume 4, supplement 1. - Proceedings

We are looking back on a succesful meeting and looking forward to the next QTL-MAS workshops  !
